Women in the social life of a medieval town (based on the material of London in the 14th–15th centuries)

The article examines the place and role of women in the social life of London in the 14th–15th centuries based on the material of the original sources. It is shown that, despite the restrictions fixed by custom and laws on the social activity of women, the range of occupations of the townsmen –wives and widows – was unusually wide. It is craft and trade, including the right to take apprentices, real estate transactions, and financial deals. Women did not just help men in the craft or trade shops, but also worked independently.

The main trends of socio-economic development of the newly formed uyezds in the Khoper River Region (Prikhoperye) in the late XVIII and the first third of the XIX centuries

The article examines the dynamics of the population and economic development of the region in the late XVIII and the first third of the XIX century. The author identifies the main trends that determined the direction of social and economic processes that took place during that period and determined the further development of the region.

William de la Pole: the Story of the Fall and Success of “Favorite Merchant” of Edward III

The article is dedicated to William de la Pole, an English financier and merchant of the 14th century. The results of the analysis of narrative, documentary sources, as well as modern scientific literature are presented. Activities of W. de la Pole is shown against the background of the socio-economic and political history of England. The characteristic of the early activities of the merchant, his role as a Royal financier and participation and participation in solving the financial and economic problems of the state during the Hundred Years’ War is given.

Azerbaijani-Turkish Economic Cooperation: Formation and Main Directions of Development (1992–2010)

The article is devoted to the analysis of the main directions of development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the post-Soviet period (1992–2010). The author considers the legal basis of Azerbaijani-Turkish economic relations, and the impact of bilateral treaties on the growth and dynamics of economic indicators. A detailed analysis of the importance of the countries in social and economic life of each other is presented.

THE ECONOMIC ACTIVITY OF FRENCH SETTLERS ON THE SOUTH-WEST OF RUSSIAN EMPIRE IN THE END OF XVIII – THE FIRST HALF OF XIX CENTURY (ACCORDING OF MATERIALS OF STATE ARCHIVES OF UKRAINE)

In the article is analyzed the documents of the State Archives of Kher- son and Odessa Oblasts. This enables to concretize the influence of French migrants on the economic development of Novorossiyskiy region in this period. Author writes about main sectors of economic activity of foreigners on the south-west of Russian empire in the end of XVIII – the first half of XIX centuries.
