The article «Religious aspects in foreign policy of the Golden Horde during Berke’s khan reign» written by Alexander Sheremetyev is devoted to works analysis of medieval Arabic historians concerning Berke’s khan Muslim devotion. According to the authors Berke’s personal commitment to Islam was the decisive factor in his foreign policy activities. The struggle between the Golden Horde and Mongolian Iran was defined as «Religious War». A. Sheremetyev came to a conclusion that medieval authors exaggerated Berke’s personal commitment to Islam.

The description of V. P. Meshchersky's business trips in Russia (1867–1868) contained in his letters to the Grand Prince Alexander Alexandrovich is analyzed in the article. The research reveals the possibility of using this historical source on the study of the social and political role of the Russian travelogues created by the Russian conservatism ideologists.

Their authors were both zemstvo statisticians themselves and economists, agronomists, publicists. A great number of reviews and papers were published by “Vestnik Yevropy” and “Russkoye bogatstvo”. The paper deals with publications dedicated to issues of zemstvo statistics which were published in those magazines.

The author of this article study a «two-uniform» position concerning the First World War of the one of leaders of Menshevism A. Potresov and his adherents which they had after February Revolution. This position combined a necessity of participation of the Russian Workers for the organization of national defense from the external enemy and a struggle for the conclusion of the just democratic peace. It has found the bright expression during the Unification Congress of Russian Social Democracy and the Kornilov’s action.
Soviet power was actively developing the festive culture in the revolutionary period which was aimed at the formation in the social consciousness the power’s conception. But the festive representation was addressed to the proletariat owing to its external expression and form. The urban population of the capitals and other provincial cities, peasantry whose mentality didn’t correspond to the proletarian holidays stayed out of the festive culture. Their holiday’s perception was far from the desired result which the soviet power strived to achieve.
